One thing that Jesus is doing is glorifying God by seeking and finding people and drawing them into the fullness of His joy. Why does Jesus have full and never ending joy? Because of who He loves.

You cannot have lasting joy if you love the wrong things. If you love the wrong things, you will either be frustrated because you don't have what you love. Or you will be frustrated, eventually, because you have what you love, but it fails to satisfy.

What Jesus loves above all else can never be taken away from Him and always satisfies Him perfectly. What is it, or I should say, who is it that Jesus loves above all else? He loves God.

And through Jesus, our guilt for not loving God as He deserves to be loved can be forgiven. And Jesus can change our hearts so that when His heart changing work is finished, we will love God, perfectly. Only Jesus can do these things.

Would He do these things for you, and if so, why? Because of who you are or what you've done or try to do? No. None of us can earn something from God because we're good enough, because we've measured up. But, in His grace, His unearned favor, God is willing to accept us just as we are and deliver us from the power and guilt of our sin.

God's grace is always fresh,but it will not always be available. Now would be a fine time to come to Him.
